This Privacy Policy explains how EV Charge Finder ("we", "us", the "App") handles information when you use the EV Charge Finder mobile application and the website at evchargestationfind.com (together, the "Services"). We are committed to processing as little personal data as possible.
1. Information We Process
- Approximate / precise location: When you grant permission, the App uses your device location to show nearby charging stations and calculate distances. Location is processed on your device to render the map and is not used to identify you.
- Usage and device data: When you open the website or are redirected to an app store, our server may record technical information such as IP address, browser/user-agent, referring page and timestamp for security, abuse-prevention and aggregate statistics.
- Favorites and history: Stations you save and your in-app history are stored locally on your device unless a feature explicitly states otherwise.
2. How We Use Information
- To show charging stations near you and provide search, filtering and routing features.
- To operate, secure and improve the Services.
- To measure marketing and download performance in aggregate.
3. Third-Party Services
We use third-party providers that may process limited data on our behalf:
- Google Maps Platform — to display maps and locations (see Google's Privacy Policy).
- Google Analytics / Google Ads — to measure website and campaign performance.
- Apple App Store / Google Play — when you download the App.
4. Charging Station Data
The map on this website displays sample (demo) station data for illustration only. Real station data shown in the mobile app is provided by charging network operators and aggregators and may not always be complete or accurate.
5. Data Retention
Server logs are retained only as long as necessary for security and statistical purposes and are then deleted or anonymised. On-device data remains until you delete it or uninstall the App.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct or delete your personal data, or object to certain processing. You can also disable location permission at any time in your device settings. To make a request, contact us at the address below.
7. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
